3 Years into my massage therapy career, i was winning awards and getting Amazing reviews. i was one of the best pain management healers at the spa. I felt like the king of pain relief.
until I took my first thai massage class at 28yo and realized I couldn’t do half of the techniques because My body was hurting, knees and hips were aching, and I felt so uncomfortable in my own body. It Slick blew my mind i ain’t gone lie. My feelings were hurt because thai massages was one of the things that i wanted to learn the most.
to top it off i injured my knee because i was so stiff the next week.
but even tho I couldn’t practice, i still showed up and took notes. I watched and learned what movements i would need to be capable of. and decided that i will do everything it takes to figure out how to fix my pains and reverse the wear and tear my career has caused me.
at 28 I couldn’t do half of the techniques and now at 40 I can do more than I thought was ever possible back then. I’ve even practiced and studied in thailand .
Let me pass this age reversing knowledge on to you. because they never taught us how to truly take care of ourselves at any grade level.
